Words on plates
I’ve been having a little fun with words on plates… starting with a quote by Rumi which sang out to me as a great way to engage guests – both before and after they’ve scoffed their food.
I couldn’t resist Orson Welles re-phrasing of John F. Kennedy’s quote: “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country”. Au contraire, ‘what’s for lunch’ indeed. OK, I added the ‘ROADKILL’ as a wicked way to play with guests’ constitutions, be it true or false – the reveal :o
And lastly, a plate with The Beatles lyrics “All you need is love” around a vinyl record design. After all, love and music are food and food is love. It’s a win win situation really ;)
Mugs are next in the Things That Sing range of word art. I hope to have the plates and mugs on the shelves by late summer.
